November Lockdown Update

Wednesday 4th November

As you are aware the government has declared a national lockdown until, at least 2nd December.

In line with this Sk8side has closed the centre and stopped all its’ normal delivery. We have closed a couple of days early as, due to an incident, staff have had to self-isolate.

We have just received the guidelines from the National Youth Agency on what we can and can’t do during lockdown. Support services for young people are considered important so we can still do some things. However, as we are currently isolating there will be no face to face work until week beginning Monday 16th November. We will update you then.

We will, during lockdown, be doing the following:

  • Keeping in touch with many of you by through weekly phone calls

  • Running a weekly Fortnite Tournament

  • Running a weekly group game of ‘Among Us’

  • Setting up our twice weekly Zoom Club

  • Keeping in touch with those of you involved in ‘What Next’ (our employment project) to continue the work we have been doing with you.

  • Making pre-paid on-line courses available

  • Continuing our search for a winter indoor venue for the Girls Skate Project

We will be posting details of all we will be doing so make sure you follow us on FB, Instagram or our website.

And for those who have not heard the Ryan Clements Skate Park is also now closed.

Take care everyone

Deirdre
