                                                     Hi Everyone and a Happy New Year!

As many of you are aware Sk8side is finding it difficult at the moment to raise funding. We receive £10,000 from ABC and £20,000 from TTC each year but need to raise £100,000 per annum.

We have, this year, been lucky enough to be chosen as the Mayor’s Cause and she, Lyn Suddards, has been running events to help us out.

I would like to draw your attention to some of these over my next few posts.

Firstly, Lyn and a senior Sk8side member – Bradley Donnelly – are planning to jump from an aeroplane (with parachutes) on 6th of April. You can support them in either of two ways. We have opened a GoFundMe account and the link is https://gofund.me/6f7864cc

If you prefer, we also have paper sponsor forms that we will both hold at the centre or take around with us on our Borough travels.

The Mayor has organised a “Red Carpet” event at the Ashford Cinema. This is taking place on 30 January and we would love as many of you to attend. Walk the Red Carpet, enjoy some tasty canapes and then enjoy a special screening of the classic “Footloose”.
