Tenterden

We offer a number of services, groups and projects for young people in Tenterden aged 8 - 19 to get involved in.

Drop In Sessions - Monday, Tuesday + Wednesday

We are open in Highbury Hall for three afternoons a week! Open from 4 until 7, we offer pool, table tennis, arts, cooking and more! We are a  safe space for young people to meet, have fun and access support offered by youth workers. Each day is dedicated to having its own activity, see below for details..

Arts and Crafts - Monday

Every Monday is Art’s and Crafts! Giving young people the opportunity to express themselves creatively and explore different mediums they may not have experienced before.

Tenterden Skate Project (TSP) - Monday

Every Monday from 4:15 until 6:15 (in winter months until it is too dark to skate safely!) we meet at the Tenterden Tennis courts and skate! We take out our custom-made ramps, boxes and rails to learn to skate! Boards and safety equipment can be provided!

Issue Based Topics - Tuesday

Every Tuesday we have an issue-based topic which we run a workshop on with young people. From mental health, sexual health or body positivity, we aim to raise awareness and be open to support young people with whatever issues they may be facing.

Cooking - Wednesday

Every Wednesday we cook in Highbury Hall! All suggestions are generated by young people and then cooked by young people. We’ve cooked Pizzas, Cakes and Fajitas to name a few. We aim to give young people the culinary skills they will need later in life.

Junior Group - Thursday

Open to all year 5’s and 6’s on a Thursday afternoon between 4 and 6 at the Tenterden Pavilion. Junior group is a great place to make friends and have fun! We do sports, arts and crafts and games! Most importantly, we are a place for them to seek support with any issues they have. This is aimed to get them ready for secondary school in a fun and creative way!
